We’ve Got The Right People On the Bus. Do You?

As brand alchemists, our magic conjures creative solutions. We owe the magic of our work to the talent that creates it. Our community of creative professionals is replete with the sharpest minds and steadiest hands in the business.

Our magic sparkles because we’re all about getting the right people on the bus, to steal a phrase from Jim Collins’ seminal business book, Good to Great. Collins posits that as a business owner, you’re like a bus driver. The bus, your company, needs the right people on the bus, and those same people in the right seats. Only then can the company decide how to get where it needs to go.

Same thing happens at Hamptons Creative Group. We formed our team by finding the best people for tasks we need – writing, design, marketing, advertising, and whatever else comes along. Because we began with the “who,” we’ve nimbly adapted to a fast-changing world. And we don’t worry about motivating them – they’re self-motivated!

So think about your own company. Do you have the right people in the right seats on your bus?

  1. Linda I love your message and what you are doing, but I just keep racing ahead in it for info I can specifically use and now.I’d move faster along with you if you would offer a brief or outline version for those of us who already agree and are trying to implement… .and PS I’m not going to do anything electronic that doesn’t allow me to not show my image when it’s not at it’s best. Yesterday, the Aveda hairdresser that came highly recommended messed up my hair and I will have to run around like Bret Michaels untill I can redo it in a week or so!
